  • Who is eligible to study MBBS in abroad in recognized medical universities?
    Any Indian citizen who is at least 17 years old and has successfully completed the 10+2 level education from a recognized Board or Council in India or abroad is eligible to pursue MBBS abroad through Academic Gateway. The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects and secured a minimum aggregate of 50% in these subjects combined. Additionally, clearing the NEET exam is mandatory for admission to any medical university abroad for the MBBS program.
  • According to NMC, what is the new rule for Indian students pursuing MBBS in Abroad?
    To be eligible for permanent registration to practice medicine in India after completing MBBS abroad, students must complete their MBBS course from a recognized medical university abroad for a minimum duration of 54 months, followed by a mandatory internship of at least 12 months at the same institution overseas. After applying to the National Medical Commission (NMC), foreign medical graduates are also required to complete a supervised internship in India for a minimum of one year. Additionally, they must pass the National Exit Test (NExT) or any other examination as mandated by the Commission to obtain permanent registration and practice medicine in India.

Important: Since NEET qualification is mandatory for admission to medical universities abroad, you will need your NEET scorecard when applying for the FMGE.
